Item description
Use: administer the product as it is or add water until the consistency of the mixture is similar to that of an homemade ice cream. In the latter case, unifeed is usually more appetizing but the product must be replaced at least once a day (especially in summer).
Method of conversion to unifeed: most birds immediately accept the new food even wet. In case of reluctant or new phobic birds (i.e. wavy budgerigar), which don’t accept unknown food, it is useful to add water until the consistency of the mixture is similar to that of an homemade ice cream and add a small quantity of seeds(10-15%). This ensures that the birds in search of seeds will be forced to taste it (prior to this any other kind of food must be removed from the aviary). After ensuring that birds eat unifeed, it can be administered alone either dry or wet.
